Bringing my kids to Ottertail area next weekend ice fishing, targeting sunfish and crappies....

Any good lakes right now to start, depths?  any help would be appreciated

Last winter I did pretty well for bluegill on Ellingson. Its located between Vining and Clitherall. Not sure how much ice is out there but it would be an easy lake to walk out since its not very large and if the ice is safe I'm sure there will be other people out there. Had to move a couple times but its pretty consistent along the shoreline breaks. Might help to get away from the other groups to if there are people out there fishing it.

Sounds good, looks like another big cold front this weekend so postponing to the 22nd weekend.

The DNR lake survey for Ellingson shows lots of sunfish, just the ticket for kids!

Should be enough ice by then to drive on.
