Well it has been a tough start to the 15/16 Ice fishing season to say the least. My buddy and I have found a bit of success the couple times we went out though.

Hit Little Maple both times, First time came out with 11 crappies and a decent pike in the bucket. Second day out we couldn't get the crappies to bite but had three flags within about 5 minutes. One false alarm, one hammer handle and one decent pike that we decided to take home.

After being on LM the second time we got annoyed with the city that popped up around us. We then headed to Camp Lake southeast of Annandale hoping to find some sunfish. Couldn't seem to get on them but boy is that water clear. Hoping to get up to the Alex area soon to try our luck. Been hearing some decent reports up that way. Anyone else having much luck in the Annandale area? Hopefully most lakes are ready to walk on by now?

Was on Pleasant for a couple of hours this morning, lots of guys out there, saw no action at all. Ice was only about 4" thick.

Very slow start for me. Few different lakes, several spots and the only thing I can consistently catch is Pike and I hate them. Have talked with several folks out there and keep hearing the same thing from them as well. Its first ice but its also January unfortunately. It can only get better!

Maple is on fire if you know where to fish! These are the results of 2 different days on Maple this past week.

Curious to know if you caught the sunnies on little maple or the main lake body.

Thanks guys, these days leading up to the cold front have been pretty great. I'm afraid they will be tight lipped for awhile now

Very nice load Hayes! Yeah this cold is just brutal. Hopefully by next weekend it'll be warmer but the ice will thicken up well to open up more possibilities. Thank for the responses!
