I was hoping to hit the lake this weekend and put some miles on the sled in search of some fish.  Might even head into Trout.  Does anyone have any idea what the Ice conditions are around hoodoo point area.  I want to avoid as much risk as I can.

Hoodoo seems fine. Been fishing daily different spots from fectos to raspberry and have only drilled a hole or two that I still won't take my truck on but the sled is fine. Guessing after next week should be all good. A couple days ago I drilled a spot that only had 3in of Good ice.

We were up last weekend and traveled across daisy with no issues. Across pike with none. Down the channel into the marina into Tower that was great. Around moose island and then around isle of pines down to moccasin.  We also traveled the arrowhead trail which was pretty nice and then to the taconite trail which was pretty bumpy and just south of the Y store be careful the first low spot was open water.  We got over it but was pretty soggy. Anyhow I would think you could travel anywhere you would like with using your head and a little caution. Hope this helps.

Any one have any info about how Trout lake looks so far?  any ice up there?

Mike told me that there was 3" to 5" of ice on Trout last weekend when he was up there.

Casey told me that he found a large 3' + pressure ridge running from Potato Island

towards Bayview Resort on Vermilion. Be careful in that area!
