I was looking for a new plastics rod after breaking mine last season. I picked a No. 8 Tackle Companies rod called the "Snitch". It has good back bone but a soft enough tip to show the light bites and up bites while using plastics. I was impressed with this rod. This rod fit what I was looking for and was not overly expensive compared to some of my other rods. The fish were biting very light and I was able to out fish another good angler who I was fishing with, because of the ability to see the bites. The key was once the up bite happened was to let the crappies take it until the tip started to load up and bingo fish on.

Currently just to my Facebook family and friends. I could start a topic on this fishing forum but it could be quite boring. Didn't catch a laker on 3 trips to Burntside last winter. Did have good fishing on Vermilion-Trout in the BWCA in early January but that can be very difficult travel.
Went to Mille Lacs with my dad and ended up with 17 perch and one tullipee. That was on Sunday we fished hard and I burned through 3 9 amp batteries I would say about 25 holes per battery through 32-36 inches of ice.
