Does anyone have an ice report for Cedar Lake in Prior Lake (off of 13 near Spring Lake)? It is a shallow lake, so assuming there should be decent ice.  If you're fishing it, how's the bite? Typically a good crappie bite. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'll update my own thread. Went and checked it today. Talked to four guys that were just going out after checking ice. They said 4" pretty much where they checked, which was about 100 yards out from shore. Did look a bit slushy with the new snow.

Thanks for the update!  Keep this updated if you find out anything different.  I have a friend that lives off of Prior and he usually gives me my updates but is out of town currently.  Figured I would let you know that there are some of us that follow these and your post is very helpful - saves me from driving 20 miles to find out for myself!

If you're not familiar with Cedar, just know that the ice can be a gamble, even when it's thick.  Yes, it's shallow, but as soon as they fire up the aerator, it makes a decent chunk of one of the east side bays a no-man's-land.  Also, who knows if it's related to the aerator but the lake seems to swallow a vehicle or two every year in random spots.  I've heard massive numbers of schooling carp for a theory on that one.  Anyway, have fun, check the ice below your feet frequently and good luck!
