Displaced Minnesota native needs advice please

Hi everyone. Displaced Minnesota native now living in Arizona (I still ice fish here believe it or not) I am coming home for a week around Christmas for the first time in many years. My 10 year old son is coming and I wanted to take him out with a guide one day and catch some nice fish. Not necessarily hung up on walleyes would have a blast doing nice crappies or gills and maybe something up pike. We are going to be in the cities and wanted some suggestions on the where and who to use for a great trip with him? I was hoping to keep it within 2 hours or close to that travel from the cities.   I was thinking Mille lacs but I am aware it is on life support which is why I am asking for some friendly suggestions.

Hey Joppru! When will you be here? Maybe we can figure out a way to get the boy out on some ice. May have to drive an hour North. Keep in touch. I spend a lot of time on the city lakes helping moms that have youth kids that would like to fish.
