Ice Conditions

Was there any lakes that had not iced over yet before all this snow hit? Rush, Pokegama, Chisago chain, etc? I had a list of small shallow lakes I was going to fish throughout this month, but it's not looking good now.

Better ask Santa for some fishable ice, if you've been nice maybe 1 of those lil buggers will be in a stocking. I kinda like this weather so far, didn't shovel but the snow shoveling fairy pulled through big time!  Won't be long for the channel I suspect.

The only positive thing about this is I've saved a lot of money on gas, bait, etc by not going fishing. But that's a sacrifice I'm more than happy to oblige.

My wife and I were on East Rush out of Flickabirds and there was only 3.5 inches of ice, no more than 4.

Fishing was not very good . only 2 small sunfish in a couple of hours and no tip up flags .The wind was kind of brutal !
