Anyone have ideas when lakes will start freezing over?  Last 24 hours should have done wonders on dropping water temps.  Anyone willing to guess when the lakes will freeze up or when they see the first idiot, I mean brave soul to go out onto the ice?

With temps coming up this Thursday and Friday I wouldn't doubt that there will be people checking ice thicknesses on small ponds this weekend.

It looks like it may be a late year to get the hard sided houses out.  I took a look at the extended forecast on Accuweather and it doesn't show one negative temperature through January 2nd...  :cry::cry:

Friend was out yesterday on a small pond.  Had 4" when he started but as it warmed up he thought he lost some due to it warming up.

I'm thinking of a small pond on Sunday.  Unless my wife talks me out of it.....  Again, maybe...

 

Or I might just watch football. We'll see what the weather says........
