Does not look good.  Even though El Nino may give us a mild winter,  it really does some damage world wide.  Some very interesting reading on the NOAA website.El Niño ForecastNEW!

I think we will be fine, but I think the big concern may come with the chance of too much snow.  the long range forecast is looking good for ice formation, but with milder winter temps there is always a chance for heavy snow to fall and make crappy ice.

Mother nature may take her time this year, but it will come.  Hopefully the cooler temps will be accompanied by relatively calm winds.  Wind can really make a mess out of early season ice formation.  Still remember the "ice mountain" on the north shore a few years ago, twas a sight to see:D 

And to think Tyler was posting pics of fish on the ice on Nov 14th last year, that was crazy early.

 I was hoping to fish next weekend like last year, but thats not gonna happen.  So will have to wait til the son and I are up at Beacons on Dec. 29th
