Yotes grrrr!

arrowed a young 7 pointer for the fry pan yesturday.  Hit a little low so decided to wait till a.m. to finish tracking.  Yotes got him.  Not gonna  put the pic of the damage on here. First one lost to yotes.

That really sucks.  Sorry to hear that......perhaps next time out, you can arrow a young yote!

Did you tag him up ? Or what does a guy do ? The coyotes are at an all time high I believe. Hearing way more then I ever have no matter where I go and seeing hardly a fawn with trailcams or without. 1 fawn on 2 cams in 3 months isn't a great sign, last month had a massive apple pile and 1 fawn, some does and a few bucks 200 coyote pictures or more, many same ones but many sizes and shapes and we are shooting as many of them as we can, running them with hounds etc. Tough luck eyeguy man they're running wild, sniffin.

checked with DNR and was told ok to let the yotes finish it and not tag it.  I went back after 2 days and took the rack for a memory. Almost all gone.  Doesnt take them long.

I may start looking coyotoe hunting land after the gun deer season.
