I can't compete with MarkB's fishing report, but I was up from Tuesday through Sunday doing some much needed deferred maintenance on my place. Why is it that cabin work is so much more fun than house work? Anyway, most of the birch around my place were turning yellow and starting to lose their leaves. The couple maples that we have are a mix of green and yellow. Every once in a while there is a splash of red mixed into the forest. A lot of our pines seemed stressed and I suspect it ties in with the low water levels in the lake. My guess is that full colors will hit in the next week or so.

I did fish one day for 45 minutes at sunset. I had lots of perch hits on my minnows, but then I went back to my place and continued staining the exterior. I'll fish again in October!!
