 Will the portage be open thru Sept. 30 for trout season? If so what are the hours.

The portage will open the Thursday before fishing opener. We plan to stay open by appointment until mid October every year. 

Thanks to everyone who used the Trout lake portage this year. Our first year went smoothly and see u in May.

I can be contacted through Lake Vermilion guides league website.

With Spiny water fleas in Vermilion.

Please drain all water from boats and inspect downrigger and fishing lines for hitch hikers when crossing the portage.
