Leaf Days at Maplewood State Park the next two weekends.  

I will have a display talking about fishing and edibles in the park from 10:00 to 1:00.  At 1:00, 2:00, & 3:00 I will be giving a photo seminar on Saturday, the 26th.  

The fall colors are starting to pop and the weather sounds great for the weekend.

Lots of other things planned for all ages including hay rides, toy making, guided hikes, and food will be available.  All events are at the Josh Hanson Memorial Shelter.

That is a beautiful Park, used to climb the bill hill there and if you catch it right with no wind the reflection in S Lida with the fall foliage from the trees going back up the hill is stunning. Not many better places to see the fall colors than at Maplewood...thanks for the heads up Cicada...missed it last weekend but will head down this weekend.

From the top of Halloway Hill.  The park was about 50% peak yesterday.  This weekend should be very good and the next might be great too if we don't get too much wind.

For those that prefer not to climb, plenty of things  to shoot from near your vehicle.
