I can not believe that it has already been a full month since my last report

This weeks cold fronts and wind have again scattered the walleyes! It has been tough to find a concentration of fish for me.

We had to hit many different spots every day to get fish. Most spots only produced 3 to 6 fish, and only if we were persistent and kept going over them until we caught a couple.

Today was another challenging but rewarding day with my clients.

We fished 5 different spots and managed to boat 18 walleyes. We kept 8 nice keepers that were 14" to 17-3/4" and released 6 slot fish between 18" and 22".

Most of our fish were caught on lindys with a plain hook and a 3' leader using 1/2 crawler or  a smaller chub as bait.

In the really rocky spots we used a small pink float next to the hook with only a 20" leader.

The key to all spots was again ROCKS! All fish were either in rocks or very close to them!

We caught fish in 16' to 38' depths.

Reefs and steep  sloping shorelines both held walleyes.

Caught this fella last weekend. Very next fish was a 20 1/2" slot fish. After that several nice keepers. Jig and minnow was the ticket for me.

Looks good guys! I am not as photogenic as you all but I hope to have some big fish pics next week! Anyone see MarkB out there? He seems absent here lately. Hope all is well. Good luck to everyone hunting and fishing this weekend.
