Things were looking bright this summer, clear water, nice weeds and not too much of a algae bloom. But we had a fish kill this weekend, hundreds of fish in the north end of the lake. Lots of perch, walleye, northern and bullheads. We just cant catch a break, wonder if it may have been to an oxygen sag with the dying weeds, heat and then the rain. Oh well, let the Hutch fisheries know so hopefully they will figure it out.

That is weird for this time of year. I know they surveyed it two weeks ago and founds lots of pike and bullheads.  They will check it out.

There are so many dead weeds and with the heavy rain we had and the heat I think it was the perfect combo. When we lived in Nebraska this tended to be a common occurance in the summer with oxygen sags. Haven't heard anything back yet, if I do I will post it up.
