Walleye on Superior

Can anyone give me some info on fishing for eyes on the big water?  Its something I have always thought about but never pursued.  Would have no idea where / how or when to do it.  I fish LOW a lot so am used to the big water but I would imagine Superior is a whole different experience. Thanks

South shore has been hit n miss. Troll sticks, cranks, spinners or spoons in 8 to 45' of water.

What do you call the south shore?

Wisconsin side of the lake  from Superior to Sand Island would be considered the south shore

ok thanks.  So i'm guessing most fishing is done closer to shore than further out?

yes 8' to 45' most days. Some days they are in that 65' plus on reefs but they can be hard to find out there.

If I am targeting walleyes on the south shore I like to use stick baits about 125' behind a in line board, as of late the walleye bite has been pretty slow but if you bump out to 65' to 80' of water you will pick up lake trout right now 40 down on riggers

Thanks for the info everyone.  Will be doing more research.  Wont get over there this year but plan to next summer.
