Late Season Trout

Went up on Friday and set up the camper for a long weekend.  Headed out mid afternoon on Friday and did really well, lost 2 at the boat and caught 8.  Girlfriend was having a blast since her second fish she landed was 23.5" almost 24".  Graphed a lot of fish down deep and had a TON of bites but sadly didn't catch that many.  Over the weekend I wouldn't be shocked if I had 30+ bites that they took only my bait.  Average size of the fish were that 14-16" mark and other than the bite was slow.  Did catch a few small mouth in the shallows throwing jigs nothing huge but a few nice catch and release moments.

Did have the privilege on Sunday afternoon to have a boat come in on me from across the lake come across my lines and actually cut one of the lines.  Three guys in a Lund totally decked out I yelled at them after they cut my line they smiled waved and took off down the lake.  What a jerk!  He knew he did it because his buddy told him he cut my line and it didn't affect him other than smiling/giggling and then taking off down the lake.

It was bad medicine.  Guy came from north to the resort right ontop of our lines turned towards us and came closer since we were drifting/trolling and he took off north.  I tried to follow some but lost him just south of the big island he was sticking to the west side of the lake and I lost him in a group.  Couldn't tell if he docked or started fishing he had a good headstart on me obviously.

I had heard for my Dad many years ago that my Uncle was very good with the Beer bottle toss when this kind of thing happen!

Thanks Leech!  It's too beautiful to do something like that plus I was an offensive lineman for a reason.
