Picked up a double flip porty last week.Anyone know where I can get some LED lights without going overseas. Looking for four strips 3-4 ft long.Seems like someone in Mn was making them but cant remember or a good place to buy a bulk spool.

It's never too early to think about ice fishing!  It is always about this time of year when it dawns on me that the days are growing shorter, yard work will soon end and I will have more time for fishing!

Don't see where any one has replied. Looking at another light application and found Amazon sells the 5050 lid in 16.5' (300 LED) reels. $12.99 + shipping.

Stay away from the so called Water Proof. There is only a thin layer of adhesive on the back of the strip over the copper substrate strips that corrode and short out when exposed to humid moisture and burn. Also paint the edges where you cut the strips with a nail polish. Its non conductive and very durable color is optional. Also make sure you fuse the LED's, Auto stores sell in line fuse holders.

Amazon was going to be my suggestion.  If you've got any soldering skills at all, those strips are ultra cheap and simple to get that thing lit up in any way you want, and they're very kind on batteries.  I've used my setup connected via gator clips to my 9 AH battery with my LX-5 running constantly for over 12 hours straight and both were still going strong when I quit.

Great tip on the nail polish, papadarv! I've got mine  electrical taped right now and it's pretty clumsy looking (plus I'm worried about it coming undone), so that should be a perfect solution.

Northern Bright Lights is where I get my lights. Great lights and other goodies like dimmer switches. Check them out.
