New products for upcoming ice season

Maybe it's just too early yet but it me it seems really quiet on new ice gear coming out for this upcoming season. The only thing I've hear so far is Otters new Thermal-tec material and they have 2 new houses. ICAST 2015 has come and gone and although you might not see much related to ice fishing, I have seen new Marcum products videos in the past floating around by now. I felt last year was somewhat quiet too, either they ran out of new ideas or are better at keeping things quiet this year.  Letting little tidbits of new products out increases are interest in the product and that's what Otter has been doing this summer. Rember all the talk about the ION before anyone even laid eyes on one?

I agree on the lack of new products recently and last year as well. They probably get to the point where they need to "milk it" for a while to justify more R&D and new products.  I would like to see Marcum incorporate a GPS unit like Humminbird is starting to do. Vex needs to move towards digital IMO. Hopefully the surprises for the new ice season are just around the corner....can't wait for the hard water!

Last year Marcum did come out with GPS in the new RT9 but it actually wasn't released, Marcum wanted to make sure it was 100% ready to go and held off for a year. Now at the price tag of the RT9 it might as well not exist to most of us.

I see Marcum finally came out with a wireless camera panner this year similar to auqa-vu. Hummingbird has a new helix-5 ice edition now too. Can't wait to see what else new will be coming out in the next few months.

Eskimo's new hub/flips will be interesting...not sure if its going to defeat the purpose of each one individually, or take advantage of both styles.
