Flip Saunders has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Our thoughts go out to Saunders and his family as he undergoes chemotherapy for what doctors are calling a very treatable for of cancer. The Wolves said Saunders will continue his coach and team president, but for now, we'll wish him a very speedy recovery.

Now there are reports that he has been hospitalized, and Sam Mitchell will be the coach through mid-season atleast.

Hope Flip can beat this, cancer is a fickle b-tch.

According to Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Flip Saunders is unlikely to return to the sidelines as head coach this season.

Saunders is currently battling cancer and Zgoda notes that "things have changed dramatically" since his diagnosis in August. The cancer is reportedly life threatening, and we wish him and his family nothing but the best. We will update his status once we know more, while Sam Mitchell will continue to take over the coaching duties in his absence.

Prayers go out to Flip. Beat this baby.

From my perspective, Flip finally got the T-wolves going in the right direction. We want him back and healthy so he can enjoy the fruits of his labor!
