What gauge diamond plate are you using on the front and corners of your shacks?  My supplier has different gauges of the steel diamond plate (or is it aluminum diamond plate?).  Obviously there is a weight vs. durability balance.

.063 but realize that you are getting into a maintenance nightmare, I would never touch the stuff again. It looks horrible in the wheel wells in a year or two and is impossible to shine back up. I would go with the thin steel that looks like diamond plate and put POR15 on it. I am in the minority but I take care of my stuff and the pitted, tarnished diamond plate drives me nuts. It's getting POR15 next year as soon as the 15-20 different products I tried to clean it with wear off.
