Built a Plat Form 6' x 6'   about 14' off ground.    Want to try putting a Ground Blind on it for bow hunting.   Whats the best blind that would enable one to shoot down thru the mesh?

Also if any one has done this before what did one use to secure the blind to the platform?  Thanks

Let me start by saying I've never done what you're thinking about, but, I've hunted from a lot of ground blinds. They are very difficult to shoot from on a downward angle.  Most are built to shoot on the flat and level and the windows are not low enough to shoot downhill.

I'd look at building some framework above the platform and attaching camo burlap or something similar instead.

I agree. I built a platform on six foot tall 4x4 posts. This is just high enough to give me a better view of what's all around (rolling country/woods) and to get out of the deers' sightline. I use a conventional ground blind on top and at this height, the best shot is about 20 yards out or further. Anything closer and I have to raise up a bit off my seat to make the shot and shoot from an awkward position. They do make a few ground blinds with a nearly floor to ceiling mesh window, so that would be an option. But your best bet is to build something like DonBo suggests. Or ask yourself if you need to be that high and can cut the legs down a bit. Good luck. I like such a set up. It allows me to take the kids along. I put the foam interlocking matts down and they can tromp around in there and you don't here anything. I also screw plywood strips down all along the skirt except for close to the door and it holds the blind tight even in high winds. Sure you're putting a few holes in it but it hasn't seemed to tear or hurt the blind these past few years.

I have thoght about using the blinds that hang in the tree around a tree stand. I liked the type sold at Menards.
