how are the catfish for eating if caught in deeper water?I was thinking if taking a friend out just to them something about cats. Catching, cleaning and maybe fixing for lunch?

I read an article in last Sunday's St. Cloud Times Outdoor sec about the "Catfish Roundup".  It is a 1-day deal this Sat, July 11th from 11 am - 2 pm in the front parking lot of Channel Marine and Sports in Richmond.  They will take the catfish you catch and show you how to clean them and also cook them for you, as well as give you tips on how to catch them.  The goal is to educate people about catfish fishing on the chain.

Here is a little more about the round up thanks to Icehawk.

Jim, the cats in the Sauk river system tend to taste a bit muddier than the ones out of the sippi from what I have been told.  Don't bother looking too deep for them, just about every weedline has a few roaming around
