Picture issues

i have noticed in recent days that every picture I post from my phone is upside down. I tried to get pictures last night and positioned the phone on all 4 edges. They all self right in my folder. I then tried adding them to a post today. All 4 came in upside down. It it an iPhone issue or just user error??? I can mess anything up so that wouldn't surprise me either.

If the pics are taken upside down that's how they will upload.

He says he had the phone in all four orientations but all pix upside down.  Perhaps it is a real problem?

Perhaps. But there is not enough information and we can't replicate the problem.

Ive been posting pics from two different fones for awhile one a samsung and one an Iphione,  Ive experienced the picture turning sideways more than any thing, due in part i think how the phone stores the picture, ive tried to combat this by posting a pic with the phone held a certain way, sideways upright ect. but with in the phone one has a edit rop feature just like on a PC,  It certainly inst the forum having any issues but rather the phone in how it store or uploads. I have better succes taking a pic in the upright position and uploading the pic in the upright position. but ones PC can rotate the pic after upload, Ive had people do this for me caus I aint too "eugumatcated" in the techno savy world. just giveing my experience in the matter. Ill try and see what happens on the hunting forum

one can also rotate the picture first on the phone mine rotate tot he left, then save and try posting that pic

An additional data point...

I recently posted some pictures to the forage.mushroom thread.  The ones that were taken in portrait  were sideways. The ones in landscape with buttons on bottom were right.

Looks like Metadata showing device or picture orientation is lost or not used

Looks like pictures from this device are dilated in landscape and specific orientation. Perhaps mobile version has problem. l

I've started taking the picture in both landscape and in portrait. Then importing both into the preview page and trashing the sideways one. In most cases it's the profile pic that ends up trashed  

I'm using an i6...

top one is in landscape, the other is portrait.

 

i just need to remember to hold the phone right if I am going to share a picture
