Saturday July 11th 2015 At Channel Marine Richmond Mn

Learn how to clean and prepare  catfish and enjoy eating various catfish recipes.

We encourage you to go catfishing Saturday morning and then from 11:00-2:00 pm we will be showing you hands on how to clean, prepare , and cook catfish: all you need to do is catch them and bring them to us!! (state laws followed for fishing and transport of fish.

This is a fun event, it's open to everyone, looking to have it as sort of a shore lunch.

Hopefully most everyone attending can go out catch a fish or 2, bring them up a we will take care of the rest!

All MN fishing rules apply, you will need valid fishing license

This is NOT a contest or tournament. it will be catfish only (please practice selective harvest)

We would like to see catfish in the 15'' to 21-22'' range.

Our goal with this event is to show how to fish and handle them, we would also like to show some of the ways to fillet, prep, and make into table fare.

I have a map that the local DNR CO has helped to pinpoint many of the shore fishing opportunities.

We plan on having DNR fisheries personnel here to answer questions, and 1 of the local guides will be here to show some of the basic tackle that they use both from shore or on the water.

We hope to make this an educational get together, meet some great people, have a shore lunch, along with just a good excuse to go fishing!

This might be worth going to.I myself never ate one of these catfish.Il put it on the calender.We'll see

Great idea!   I'll be busy getting married on that day; otherwise, I'd stop by to learn a thing or three.

grrr!   gone also. would be fun to go to as I dont care much for eating cats but would love to learn how to make them tasty. :)
