fishing reports South Central MN Walleyes

In South Central MN it seems like Walleye bites are never continuous. They may bite for 3 days max in one spot, then your having to look for a new spot. I think its because some of these lakes are so pressured and fished alot that they are not hungry and they get scared. Also with the weather, the weather always changes and the pressure changeschanges, all these factors will change how they bite. Although in Canada the fish always seem to bite...

Got another nice walleye last night, good eating size. a few got away, but I think I'm on to them. Anyone else having any luck with Walleyes this open water season so far around here?

That's a good start, where there's one there's gonna be more. Keep trying different tactics until you find out what they are really hitting on. Don't be afraid to try other areas on the same lake with similar depths/structure.

I have had no problems with walleye this year. If anything the DNR has over stocked the lakes with Walleye. Small one everywhere, perfect size for bigger ones to eat.

 Yes, Walleye are always on the move. If the wind changes the fish move!!!! I will catch Walleye on an inside bend one day and on the next day find them 800 yards away on a point.

 ( 1 ) Learn to troll and cover a lot of water.  ( 2 ) ditch the anchor. 

 If you can't find the fish and they won't come to you, well you will just have to seek the out. Don't be a one trick pony.

The other thing, this time of year you want to do is focus on shallow shorelines with a bit of a bank around hard bottom if a creek is feeding into the spot so much the better, as well as weed edges on rock bars.
