Deer Population?

I am looking at some land between Pelican and Nett Lakes. Curious to how the deer population is in this area. I know last year it was a bucks only area which is why I am having concerns. Are the wolves pretty thick in this area?

Wolves are everywhere up here, but that is usually a good deer area!

There are wolves everywhere up there, and have been for a long time.  First time I ever went deer hunting in 1990ish, had my first in the woods sighting of a wolf.  Hear them howling pretty regularly, and still have harvested plenty of deer over the years.   

Deer population has been down across much of the area the past few years - mostly due to the past few tough winters prior to this one.
