Limit Creek "Smoothie"?

Question

Posted

I've read about this rod in the past and checked some reviews online, but today I held one and it felt nice plus the price was decent. The 6'9" medium light spinning model really sparked my interest and I'm seriously considering picking one up.

Has anyone around here fished or still fishes with them?

Are these good quality rods? Do the guides hold up well while using braided line?

Any cons that I should be aware of?

All info will be appreciated.

I haven't touched one. But I've read enough reviews and materials comparisons to determine that the very next walleye rod I buy will be a LC Smoothie. It's a rod comparable to something twice the cost.

But sorry, no personal experience. Only the opinion of someone who's already been convinced.

I have a smoothie and I like it, to be honest I like my 13 fishing omen better...I had the smoothie in one hand and the omen while dragging jigs on the river and i thought I could feel better with the omen...The smoothie is a great rod though, ive had no issues with it...

I use smoothies while guiding. Customers are very happy with them.  They are nice and light.  Sensitive too.  I use them for live bait rigging with braid.  I have not had any issues with them.  You will like them.

I have one and really like it. My go to rod is one my wife had made for me a couple of years ago but the Smoothie is always the second one I reach for.

I love my smoothies and they are a great bang for the buck for sure. The Limit Creek trolling rods are also very nice.
