The smallies are starting to move in now, find the warmer water and you find the fish. The fish Iam getting are real nice ,big ,brown and fat.I was out yesterday and the water temps were in the upper forties. The fish were staging off the shoreline in 8 to 12 fow.I backed way off the shore and casted into water around 4 feet deep ,once I pulled the bait over the deeper water sometimes 50 feet from the bank ,the smallies would come up and smash it,the bait of choice was a scrounger with a white fluke ,when the sun finally comes out they should really turn  on!

The sun came out and so did the bass. They moved up on the wind side of islands and rock piles .The Islands that had the big rocks and cover were loaded with bass.I threw a spinnerbait and they just hammered it! I also got a 39 and a 42 inch pike.It was one of those days on Rainy that's you just can't beat.I will be heading back tomorrow weather permitting .
