Fished Saturday of opener.  Morning was cold and slow! Fished the birdhouses sugar and ravens couple walleyes dropped and a few decent perch and 1 pike.  Headed to stony and had a nice afternoon kept enough for a nice meal for my family, and had several releases.   Sunday was blustery to say the least. Drank coffee and had a nice breakfast and hit the road.  Normal jig and shiner bite.  Put in at Richards townsite I have a roller trailer and a 2o foot lund alaskan  and had no problemss.  Guy  with a big ranger on a bunk was not able to launch from there.  Local resorts have great landings and always are willing to take a launch fee.  Back up this weekend ! BRRRRRRRR!     I think I might shiver for a week! LOL  Got there Sunday and started fishing Monday with my BIL.  Mainly in McCavity Bay.  Tried shiners  a couple hours and no luck and lousy weather so went to bowstring for a couple hours to try it.  North end access is not much good right now with the low water.  I know the folks at Giegers so put in there and ended up with a couple northerns and some perch.  Tuesday hit McCavity bay again with shiners and still could not figure it out. Brought crawlers from the yard along and decided to try CutFoot. Found them on the second spot we tried. :)  3 just under 18 and a 16 to keep and 9 slots went back in, biggest was 22. All on crawlers.  Went back today and we netted 1 17 incher right away, a dandy gill and 3 perch.  Froze by 1230 so headed back to break down the pop up over at The Pines. So much fun to do while frozen and wet. lol.  Nice meeting John there a chatting a bit. Hope to get back up there sometime and give it another go.
