The bite has slowed from early December which is to be expected, but the good news is we are not seeing too many long faces. The customers willing to get out and find fish and then set down wheelhouse are doing really good. We have 17-19 inches of ice 2.5 miles out and are open to all traffic ( No B-52 Jets or 18 wheelers ;)) The hot colors this week have been UV orange and Pink with red glow being the staple. Rainbows are working better on set lines and fatheads for spoon jigging. Best bite times are from 7am-10am and 7pm-1am. We now have enough snow for banking as long as it doesn't blow off.

We will be open Christmas for those who would like to spend Christmas out on Upper Red. Happy Holidays!

Heading up Monday. How much snow you guys got up there. And is there any thing special we should bring with as this is our first time on red? have a shack from portavilla?
