Any body fish this lake?

15yrs ago a buddy of mine took me to this lake a few times for panfish, we did pretty good. Just wondering if it still has a healthy fish population.

I've thought about trying it but I don't see any information on a public access. Can you get on the lake in the winter?

15yrs ago we parked on the side of the road and walked out. According to the DNR web site you have to ask the home owner closest to the road to access the lake?

When I Last fished it the water was really stained and the day bite was good, once the sun started to go down the fish shut off.

Well I fished the lake today for the first time since May 1999, wow its been a lot longer than I thought. Talked to a guy on the lake today that has family only a couple miles from the lake, he fishes the lake a few times a year. He told me about 10yrs ago a guy from Outing MN came out to the lake and found the big crappie. This guy suffered from diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain, needless to say that winter this poor little lake had a city of wheel houses on it and the crappie pop. was for the most part cleaned out. So sad but its the norm these days, people can't keep their mouth shut and even worse people seem to keep the big fish instead of letting them go and keeping the smaller ones for the fry pan.

Back to today, I fished from noon to 4:30 today, only caught 5 keepers. Nothing over 9". From 2pm until 4pm the lake had about 18 people fishing, the last time I ice fished the lake that many years ago in March there wasn't that many old auger holes on the entire lake.
