How do you think the ice will be down here (Madison Lake/ Fairbault area) after this warm weekend? It doesnt look like it will be below Freezing (32degrees F) until middle of next week, how does thia make you guys feel? What will happen next?

It's not going to do anything to the ice except help it by getting the snow off of it. I don't know that weather you are looking at because Monday night is going to freeze everything up an the rest of the week is going to be in the teens. Plan an simple, ice is going to be just fine it's Mother Nature helping us!

yep my bad on monday night its going to get down to 23degrees F (i just looked) and then it will be cold, it should refreeze slush if any or any dull ice and add a few inches by weekend!

It's going to be a rough few days for the ice. With overnight temps in the 40's and a little wind it will definitely affect it. Probably see some expansion and contraction also. The theme so far this year for southern mn lakes seems to be a lot of ice thickness variation within any one lake, so paying attention will be in order. I think I will wait until the cold conditions settle back in before getting too excited again.
