Warm rubber boot idea

I'm thinking about buying a set of over sized rubber boots and using the liners out of my Predator Extreme inside them. I want rubber boots but my feet get really cold so I think this is the only way I can make it work. Anyone try anything like this before?

Not a terrible idea but there is easier options. I just got a pair of Baffin Titans and they fit the description you have given to a tee. I know Kamik also makes a couple pair with removable liners. Not sure if they are going to be as warm as the Titans though. At $95 per pair from Amazon the Titans are also a good deal IMO.

My feet get cold as well and I have a pair of Lacrosse Alpha Burlys and love them! Put a couple toe warmers in there and my feet stay toasty all day.

Why not buy a pair of "muck" boots already insulated?

I have a pair of alpha burlys, great boots but my feet got cold last night in my 38* garage In just a half hour. I'm not kidding about getting cold feet, I have the Predator Extreme boots and they are the warmest boots I've ever had, makes my ice kings feel like wet socks. Even with the Predator Extreme my feet got cold this deer season in 30* temps. If I'm moving my feet stay good it's just when sitting still. I know what socks to wear and I bought my boots a size bigger and don't even pull the laces tight.

I don't think I'm going to find anything warmer then the Predator Extreme but I'm just looking for something in a rubber boot that easy to slip on. As far as comment on the Mucks that what I'm thinking getting in the Arctic Pro or possibly the Clam rubber boots and then still getting them big enough to slip the liners from my Predator Extreme into.

The Baffin Titan is easy to slip on, rated to -148, and has a nice little snow cuff drawstring at the top. Basically sounds like what you're looking to build out of your predator liners and muck boots combo. The boots you mentioned buying, Muck Arctic Pro, cost way over $100, and you've still got to use your own liner to make it work in really cold weather. If I were you, I'd just buy the Baffin's for around $100 with the liners in them already, built for temps well below zero without any jimmy rigging or oversizing

Here's a good suggestion for everybody that is trying hard to keep their feet warm! Get some Reflectix insulation and trace outline's of your feet on it. Use a scissors to cut them out. When you put these in the bottom's of your boot's, you might be surprised by how much warmer your feet will feel. If your boot's came with a removable insole, remove it and put the Reflectix in their place. Then re-install your removable insole's. Good luck and warm tootsie's for everyone! 1DIRTBALL
