Merrifield Bay has a huge hump at the access from all the wind the other day...only saw one portable out & looks slushy towards middle about 100-150 yards out still.

What a chitty spot to blow in. Just might end up to be a little speed bump after some snows.

Any update on the ice in Merrifield Bay?

6-7" tonight. Permanent and wheeler right where I fished. Couple bites and an eye for dinner, I had to leave early though.

I had 10 inches this weekend, lots of atv and snowmobile traffic, there was even a guy in a truck out on the first break. The landing is still pretty bad.

was out today and were I was at there was 13 inches of ice and 2 full size trucks drove out and fished by me about 20 yards from me,

If you have a house out I hope you have it blocked up...there is about 3"-4" of water sitting on top of ice and access is getting soupy. Its like a toilet bowl being flushed when you drill a hole. Bring your ice cleats!!

^ like they said! Was out there today and got some wet feet...threw those boots away when I got home! Make sure you drive slowly and cautiously, seen an accident on the lake today. Neither sides win the battle!

have not been out for over a week hows the access ice still blocking ramp?

As of sunday still a ice heave at access but you can go to right side. I pulled myhouse off sun morning there was a couple inches of water on top. Not sure what tge rain and snow did on monday...anybody else have an update on ice conditions...is there water and slush on top still or has it froze or drained?

Anybody having any luck out on Merrifield Bay? I have been out the last 3 nights & only 2 small eyes to show for it. Both were on rattle reels & golden shiners 15"-18" off bottom in 12' on one end of house & 16' on other. What else is working?

Drove down to the access yesterday as I was thinking of moving my house out there. With the way that heave is I don't know if it would be possible. I drove my truck down and was worried I may not get back up. Someone needs to bring a chainsaw down there and do a bit of ice sculpting.

somebody did on saturday but there is water under that big ice heave. Should be freezing up nicely next few days & if we get a little snow should help to smooth it out. I have been going on to the right of access & no problems coming off if you go at an angle & give it a little gas to get up on the concrete with front left tire.

Walleye bite has been slow so far but the pike have been hitting!

Thanks Central, yeah I was just thinking hauling the wheelhouse may be painful. I was impressed with how think the heave was....the ice sheets must have been close to a foot thick.
