Looking to get some window curtains in my new Yetti. The dimensions I would need would be 38" wide (east to west) and around 26" long (north to south). Any one have and suggestions on where I could pick something like this up or what others have done to their windows in a wheel house? Thanks for the suggestions.

Make your own, I did.

Clarkfield Outdoors makes the curtains & seat covers for the major wheelhouse builders...contact them for a custom set.

I just used aluminum mini blinds. They are almost completely inside the window frame so they don't interfere with moving my bunks from fishing to sleeping position. I generally have tipups out during the day time so I have them open anyways, and it gets so dark at night that it's always dark when you're going to sleep. The blinds are really only used for privacy at the campgrounds during the summer.

Do a search for them, there are companies that make them ready to go.

My wife made me a set of curtains using Realtree AP so they would match the comforter and pillow covers on the bed. I redid the lower bunks into one big bed, just like sleeping in the house. I could have purchased a set but I could not find the exact match in [pattern to match the comforter. Buying them is probably less than making them but not hard to do at all.

I also put up room darkener shades so if I want it real dark in the house, one can just pull the shades, make sure u get the room darkener type as the others do let some light through the window. Works great for sight fishing if u have good clear water.

If you have a JoAnn Fabric's store close by, they do carry some nice fabric in numerous patterns.

In my experience, its best to have something that fully covers the windows.

One night, I was kicking back watching a rather intense movie when I noticed a face ghost up to my house and look into the window. Scared the begeesus out of me!!! Turns out it was a rather sneaky game warden. Now I always shut my curtains at night. Blinds may allow room for someone to still take a peak inside.

Go to Wall Mart and buy cheap blinds, about $10 a window.

On my old wheel house had aluminum blinds custom cut (I removes excess) and they fit in the window jam perfect, almost professional looking!

On my current wheel house the windows are RV style so need to install something else, perhaps simple fabric curtains.

Those thermo grains look awesome especially the no frost part.

Does your wife or mom have a sewing machine? It took me 10 min to learn to sew with my mother-in-law and youtube and sewed all my curtains myself. Pretty proud of them, there not perfect but are removable. full-21128-52020-img_3861.jpg

All of those Polaris sleds from that era were notorious for flooding and leaking. I've still got a 2003 XCSP 600 Edge that my daughter rides. As you noted, you need to shut off the fuel in those situations.

Yes, but it could make for an amazing walleye opener.

How old is your belt?   My old Polaris 4 wheeler with belt drive was bogging at mid range to top end last year.  Changed the belt and that problem went away.

Previous owner (22 years and 5,000 miles ago) said it was prone to flooding when sitting for a long time or trailering, so I shut the fuel off in both cases.   Primary is significantly worn.  I replaced several rollers and pins which helped.  I have two used clutches in much better condition that I could (and should) install.   It seems more like when I hit the throttle, but the bog could be from poor clutch shifting.  Will have to pay attention next time and inspect the clutches.  Thanks for the ideas.

Nope, he beat me fair and square, all his.  This weather had been depressing. As it sits now we are looking at a later than normal ice out. I hate scrabbling with docks, lifts, boats right before opener. Also limits some pre opener crappie chances.

In those years Polaris was known to put buna tipped needles in there sleds. They get a ring around the seat and don't seal shut. But if that would be the case your problem would be with the motor shut off and filling the crankcase with gas. If your plugs are brown that is were they should be. I wouldn't drop that needle down to the last grove. I would replace them before I did that. I have never had a carb with that setting. Have you looked at your clutches? They could be dirty or have a bad roller.  Does it bog as it's accelerating or when you hit the throttle?

but if he really wants I can change the date..
    • Wanderer
As soon as I started reading mind went to needles and seats.  You might want to try just replacing those first?  I’ve only done that once before in my life but it made the difference.  A carb refresh in 8,000 miles seems reasonable.

Good luck smurfy!  On getting drawn, I mean!   If it comes down to it, I know a guy that might be interested in a nice hide.
