Has anybody seen any .22 Mag Ammo at stores?

Hello,

Can anybody tell me where I can locate some .22 Mag Solid ammunition for Squirrel Hunting? I have checked numerous stores in MN but I can not locate any solids, only the Hollow Points and AccuTips.

Maybe my timing is just off, but I havn't seen and .22 caliber ammo on shelves in Winona, MN now for most of a year. I used to catch a few times they had it at walmart off and on, but now never.

Gander Mountain in Rochester seems to have the 100 round plastic CCI boxes most of the time, but who wants to pay $8 for 100 rounds? When I was running out of ammo I broke down and bought 2 boxes from them, but I'm hoping to find bulk ammo again sometime soon.

You might try Fleet Farm. I had the manager of the new Mankato store tell me " We will always have 22 ammo". I didn't even ask him. He just said it out of the blue. A matter of pride?

Yep, many Mills Fleet Farm locations generally have it in stock.

​Interesting. They had cases of it the first weekend they were open and I bought 2 100 packs but since then the shelves have been empty for 22 shells.

3rd week in a row of empty shelves at Mills in Kato. They have an abundant supply of 17 WSM and it seems right now that stuff is everywhere but I am not sure if the guns that shoot it are.

The Cambridge Mills has yet to have 22 ammo ever when I have been in there. And I am there at least 1 or 2 times a week. Always go over and check they never have it.

I'm in the East Metro (Oakdale) and between Mills Fleet Farm, Gander Mountain and Cabela's I still have a hard time finding any. Typically, the Gander in Woodbury has the CCI 50 round Standard Velocity 22LR ammo available but you pay a lot for 50 rounds. I bought my Marlin Model 60 a few months before Sandy Hook and you could find whatever ammo you wanted, then afterwards nothing. Frustrating stuff.
