I believe Bickel is in too. Apparently we're going to chcek our opponents to death grin

Funny stat Russo brought up. The Wild are 4-0 with Bickel in the lineup. Coincidence? Yeah, probably laugh

What a frustrating game to watch. I would have started Curry if I was Yeo. Can we get a stretch where no one has the stomach flu, or the mumps?

do they all share cups or what? Buy a jug of hand sanitizer for cripes sake!

Teams is slowly falling apart inside out from what we see.

It looks like some guys go away from plan or off track mid game?

Still enjoy each game, fun to watch vs early 2000's but need everyone healthy an working hard.

Really need or be nice to see them add someone talented and BIG for a SPARK.

old school me, the one an only Musky T. thinks Euro no touch hockey is lame but that is way this league is moving so all we have.

I have to work thru it.

crazy

D.K. net minder I really figured would be a lot better this season but so far, not so much.

Team really has no identity.

Who are the MN Wild?

Like a swarming, moving man on man trap.

Shots are fun but lots of total are weak an not going in...but ya never know so SHOOT! smile

Enjoy that a lot.

Coach Yeo still having to mix an match lines every game an asking players to find their game an bla bla bla at this point.....lame.

But have to figure in the mini injuries an sickness so about even I guess.

Have to work harder, work thru it.

Tonight's game vs Jets will be fun view.

Jump on them early I would say is key, then work hard each shift an HOLD ON TIGHT!

smile

Vannek is about what I figured...on off off off on off off off off on ....sput, klunk, gasp...bust.

My Maple Leafs in town Friday......we of Leafs Nation over 1000 Minnesota strong and very excited.

Suite #27 and scattered sections will be a rocken!

GO LEAFS!

grin

Keep on rocken!

Spark? Apart from goal tending and defense and our small forwards, we're set grin

Oh good, the Leafs, we always find a way to lose those games.

I shouldn't be so negative. My Wild are leading the Jets in the third right now. Kuemper isn't giving up a 5ft rebound on every shot. Prosser isn't quite reaching the level of pylon that he usually reaches. Really, this game is going pretty well! laugh

Good game.

Enjoyed it for many reasons.

Hitting was up an shots more on net, Big D.K. played very well.

Fun win.

That goal in last few seconds of 2nd was a rocket an huge plus.

I like that.

Jets love to set up big Buff for the Bomb shot from point on power play but he sure misses a lot, left an high...BOOM!

wink Maybe needs glasses ... blush ... maybe.

laugh

Fun stuff.

That was a good win last night. The leafs look fast.

I was watching on and off most of the game, and unfortunately saw Haula with the puck on a 3-2 wild advantage, he dropped the puck just inside the blue line for Scandella , who had disappeared for a change. [PoorWordUsage]?? Luckily the wild were up 3-1, but it was still a little frustrating why they would change on an odd man rush when they just gained the zone?? At least get in and give it a try.

Good team win. Lots of guys played much better than they had been. Kuemper looked great. Haula is back. Coyle was throwing his weight around.

Reporter asked about Heavy legs?

Come on dudes!

laugh

Maybe they just blew all they had against a depleted Leafs crew an heads swell a bit an BANG, hit the real NHL wall of a hot team.

Wild Kids will get better but losses like this have to come before wins an consistent winning runs.

Kemper, tired?

He has nothing to be tired about. crazy

Out of position a lot an not looking to NHL professional.

Heavy legs?

Most are young kids, I don't buy that one bit.

Have a beer, man up an go hit someone...Nit, Shoot, Score...REPEAT.

Over complicate the game in a kids head an he don't know where to go what to do or why he is asked to do it.

But fun game to watch if you like one sided other team goals an frustration set in FAST on bench.

Wild players should not try to fight.

Weak.

RAT'S!!! Hole to reach 8th is getting deeper.

Stars go into Hawkville an lead most of game.

Lose in OT.

Fast fun game to watch an Stars show no sign of heavy legs or jet lag or whiny excuses.

Not a fan of Stars just am not buying into the Wild kids not being UP for a 2nd in back to back tilts.

It is what you do~~~Play hockey.

So do it.

Good set of players, coach seems to know a few things but they dug a hole...now lets dig it out an get this thing going~~~NOW!

for some reason I can not get into other half of site. The old green site.

crazy

Nothing works, password or log in stuff so just read stuff hear from time to time.

Wild can still pull off 8th if they work hard an others fall.

This is best time for hackey, post all star period an run for the money / Cup.

Jets run has been fun to watch.

That is some good hackey.

Win over Oil is two points but not to impressive thing to bank on but it is two points.

Sure like to see / hear different TV announcers.

But I do have it on mute an music playing.

smile

Wild have a back to back and play every other night all month so be fun to see how it all shakes out.

Keep on rocken!

That win over the Hawks the other night was awesome. I really enjoy it when they beat those guys. A great win to get in front of the home crowd. Make it 5 in a row tonight vs Avs!

Hawks took a beat down...that I is always fun.

Rumor I been reading is Hawks players party up night before in Nashville an had hang over city vs Wild an hawks coach was not happy x 1000.

Not taking anything away from Wild beat down as boys will be boys and wild boys took it to them but good.

Last night Avs 1st period was fun.

Swarming man on man and man on puck play.

Lay down a bit mid 2nd on but still good game.

Bit lucky in end....fun stuff.

Good to see these young guys turn around an have some fun playing hockey.

Coach Yeo has a good winning plan if they ALL follow thru.

Fun stuff.

Tuff three weeks ahead as game every other night.

I like it.

Less than a month away...let's get it going! Puck Daddy not too impressed with the Wild, what's everyone else think?  In summary from PD:

Prediction

Dubnyk will prove a capable starting goaltender. Parise and Suter will continue their consistency while Granlund takes a big step forward toward being a high-end player.

Minnesota finishes in fifth in the Central Division but still makes the playoffs as a Wild Card. The Wild get ousted in the first-round, but will finally lose to a team other than Chicago.

Haha Colorado at home with my least favorite goalie ever Roy on the bench, I'm still glad was it Mike Vernon for Detroit bloodied that bozo up and Brunette ended his playing days lol. Love the villain like in pro wrestling, Colorado is the only squad I care to see go down. Wonder if Iginla wishes he would've pushed harder to be with us instead of the lanche ?

The Wild are off to a 2-0 start with the Yotes and Kings next on their agenda. Is this Wild team for real? After all the Coyotes are also 2-0. :D

Always a good day out of the house.  Hey moose, what kind of gun do you have a few grouse pictures back?
    • monstermoose78
Flushed 3 pheasants today with Hazel but they were flushing 50 yards a head of her. Then we went by some little berries that looked black and hazels tail started going a brown bird gets up I thought hen then the bird banked and it was a grouse. It was good to get her out in the woods. I seen a few pheasants in picked corn fields.

Walked today and yesterday, flushed 9, shot at two and got two. Hopefully next year I'll have a dog to hunt with. Still warm up here, skim of ice on ponds. Weather has been nice. Hopefully walk a bit more the next few weeks. Been pretty cautious walking for birds to not interfere with deer hunters. There sure are not the deer hunters there used to be

On the South Shore...  The focus for many this week is the ongoing deer hunting season which is a big tradition in these parts, even for avid walleye anglers.  There were some that either already harvested their deer or are more into catching fall walleyes than hunting.     Those that are fishing are taking advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and excellent walleye and sauger bite that is happening across the lake.  Cold weather is in the forecast in the upcoming days and weeks so that is also getting many excited. The best depths on the south end of LOW are 22-28 feet of water.     Vertical jigging with frozen emerald shiners is catching most of the walleyes, saugers and jumbo perch.  Depending upon where on the lake you are fishing, some slots and big trophies are in the mix as well, but most reports are talking about good numbers of eaters.    Jumbo perch are coming in good numbers this fall which will serve ice anglers well.  Watch out for an occasional pike or even lake sturgeon mixed in with the walleyes.      There are good numbers of walleyes and saugers across the south shore which is setting up nicely for early ice.   On the Rainy River...  There continues to be good numbers of shiners in the river, and consequently, there are good walleyes in the river as well.     Walleyes along with saugers, pike and some sturgeon are coming in up and down the river.  Most walleyes are being caught in 10-25 feet of water in various stretches of the river.   Jigging with live or frozen emerald shiners is the key. Some anglers are also still slow trolling crankbaits upstream to cover more ground and find fish. Both methods are producing solid results. Sturgeon fishing remains strong.  The catch-and-release sturgeon fishing is open into the spring when it changes to the "keep season" on April 24th. Up at the NW Angle...  As temps are getting colder, most are in the woods hunting and not fall fishing, however, for those who bundle up, fishing continues to be excellent.     A nice mixed bag with walleyes, saugers, perch, pike and crappies being caught. Very good muskie fishing with the colder water temps and shorter days.  Some big fish and some good numbers are being caught amongst the islands.  Both casting and trolling is getting it done.

I hunt in the rifle zone so I don't have a need to use a shotgun to hunt deer, but I would be looking at this if there was ever a need to.   There could be state legislation introduced next summer that eliminates the shotgun zone completely.  It has bipartisan support.  Wisconsin removed theirs years ago and MN is usually later to follow.  They've tried to pass it more than once and it came up just short both times.  Probably just a matter of time.

      Screw that, here's whatch need!  😆   Power-Shok Rifled Slug 10 Gauge 766 Grain Grain Weight: 766 Shotshell Length: 3-1/2in / 89mm Muzzle Velocity: 1280

20 ga has become a real popular deer round in the last 5 or so years.  The rifled barrels are zinging those sabot slugs with rifle like accuracy out to 100 yards easily.  Some go so far as dialing in for a 200 yard shot but really, by 150 they’re falling off pretty low.   I have a single shot Ultraslug in 20 ga that shoots really well at 100 yards.  Most everyone I know that has bought a slug gun lately has gotten the Savage 220 in 20ga.  Problem can be finding the shells you want.
    • leech~~
My son always bugs me about getting a nice light over-under 20ga for grouse hunting.  I say Heck no, I'm getting a 3 1/2" 10ga so I can put as much lead in the air that I can!!     So, I'm keeping my 12ga.
    • 11-87
That’s almost exactly what I was thinking.  Have slug barrels for both   One for turkey and one for deer.      I have a 20ga mosseberg as well. (Combo came with the scope but never used.   I always liked the 12 better
