Pinnacle reels

Question

Posted

Thank you to Pinnacle Fishing. I have a Pinnacle Vision VS30 that is over 15 years old. The worm gear stopped working in August and I finally got around to calling them about a repair. They no longer support the reel and parts are not available. (Bummer cause I really liked the reel.)

But for $15.00 I send in the reel and they will send me a brand new Alyssa XLT. Granted it is low profile as opposed to round bait caster but what the heck.

I just want to spread the good news and point out some companies will do good if given the chance.

Actually nothing for the game but for the below temps.  Soup of the day. Home made Cajun, potato, andouille sausage. Nice and spicy, had it up at Pine Cove Lodge on the Northshore.  Has a lot more meat and potatoes in it then the picture shows. 😋

The old saying of a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work is true,  but today tested me anyways. First my trailer had a flat. Them my air compessor wouldn't work.  So no way to haul the ATV.  Decided to just walk with the snow free lakes. Get to my spot and my vexilar wouldn't turn on.  I had just charged it 3 days ago.  Caught all kinds of 3-5 inch perch. Tomorrow I'll fix the tire and compessor and get a new battery for vexilar.  Probably go to church to clear my conscious from my frustrations today also.😟  Still better than work though.

We’ve moved 3 times now.  We were too deep up in the bay according to what reports we’ve been seeing.  Plus this cold front has been a bit nasty.  Reports from people on Red were they got slower too with the front.   Pike and perch were fierce though.  Great spot to bring people that just want to catch fish.  But bring lots of minnows.  We had to go get more during our move to Highbanks yesterday.  I never did get to really explore the bay for the better panfish and pike spearing.  Too cold and windy to be casual about anything. we left there with a couple pike over 26 and some 10-12 inch perch.  The couple walleyes we got were 18.5 and 23.5.  I let the 23.5 go but maybe shouldn’t have?  It was the first one.  Protected slot is 18-23 out here.   Went to a proven spot out of Highbanks for last night.  Pike, perch and better walleyes.  Starting to get a decent bucket going with 17.75’s. Otherwise they’ve been in the slot.  They only bite when you’re about buck neked so only 1 pic that I’ll put here.  You’re welcome!
