Camp Site Suggestions For Kids

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Wondering if anyone can recommend a few good camp sites on Sand Point that are kid friendly (level and easy to swim from). We'll have 5 kids with us, ages 2-9 years old. We are going up in mid-June and looking to launch on Crane and stay somewhere on Sandpoint Lake.

Thanks for the help.

I am not too sure if you will find what you will find what you are looking for on sand point, at least on the U.S. side, maybe in grassy bay as I have not explored back there too much. But in the narrows, between Sand Point and Namakan, there a few sweet islands with sand beaches that the kids would love.

Some of the Best sites are the unmarked sites. Our Favorite unmarked Site is Just behind marker #22 It is Just a small Island with a nice little sand beach- There doesnt seem to be anyone ever on it.

Thanks eyes. We'll have to check it out. From an aerial shot looks like a nice sand bar coming out form the island.

Yes sir, Thats the one ! Our Family has made many great memories on that little piece of sand. The only tuff part is there is not much Firewood to be had there so you will have to jump in the boat to find some firewood for some smores at night. We have done pretty well slip bobbering in the evening on that marker as well.
