Special wrench

Wish-I-Were-Fishn

Question

I need to change the direction of the arms on my Thule bike rack and it takes a special security type wrench. Where can I get one?

Metric too

TORX has no metric or standard version. It is just a TORX.

The different sizes are just numbered, right?

Yup, from 1 up to 100, with random numbers in between. They usually have a "T" preceding the number. The picture Wishin has posted the screw is called Tamper Resistant, so it would be labeled as TRxx (xx representing the size number)

T27 is probable the most common oddball size. Guess who decided to use this one...............General Motors! wink

I use a T3 pretty often for small electronics. T15, T20, T25, T45, and T50 would be the more common automotive sizes.

Next well we'll discuss Ribe and Spline Drive! smile

Now that the rep was kind enough to mail me the tool, I'm off working on another idea instead. We will see what works best.

Or the open ended adjustable offset stripping crescent hammer.

Available in standard and metric sizes.
