Receiver Joe Webb

I heard today that the Vikes were moving Webb to receiver. Good move as all his athletic ability isn't doing us any good with him sitting on the bench as a mediocre backup quarterback.

I'd like to see him get the ball in the open on some short to mid-range routes so he can put the smackdown on some of those little D-backs!

Doubt he'll make the final 53 man roster now...more of a "thanks for the effort" type of opportunity for him now IMO.

That being said...I hope he works out there. He's a true mis-match against any corner or safety in the league.

The Vikings really should have cut him last year and kept fumble copter rosenfels.

They wouldn't have been in the predicament in GB having to start Webb had they done that.

As it is he is a heckuva athlete but as you look at Tebow that doesn't mean much. He seems like a good kid and I'd like to see something work out for him cuz he doesn't cause trouble but I wouldn't waste a roster spot on him unless he shines.

I think this is a good move. What better way to really fake the D than with a play action screen lateral in a WR option. Or I suppose one could also say "What better way to blow the lead with a play action screen lateral WR option that is performed by Joe Webb throwing the ball to a defender" But I'm hoping for the best. No doubt that Webb is an athletic freak. Need I remind you all.

Great move! I think that if Ponder or Kassel can get the ball to him we will have ESPN Highlights every week. He is a great athlete just not a "great" QB

He will be gone by the second, third round of cuts now. This move just came to late. He is now a camp body.

It seems most people think he will be gone, but I wouldn't be totally surprised if they keep him around. I'd love to see them throw the bubble screen to him a couple times, than call it again and have him pass the ball downfield after he catches it. I think they're leaning towards CD returning kicks, but Webb gives you options there too.
