I'm wondering how tough it's gonna be to get spot-tails this year? Our group is going the second weekend, so we've got some time, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of a place that might have a decent supply? with the new minnow restrictions on the lake I figured that would make things a little tougher, but I know that with the ice cover on the lake they can't get em anyways.

I know I am going to be checking every bait shop on the 300 mile drive up. Could be tough to get that is for sure! We are going up this weekend I'll report all I know (Which isn't much) when I return. Hopefully the only ice we encounter in two weeks will be in our drinks on Snapping Turtle Lane!!!! See you then!

Nothing is available right now, I called trappers through out the state trying to get minnows in and as of yesterday I couldn't find anything besides the fats and suckers.

that article is really disappointing, I hope that they can reach a better consensus over this, I would really hate to see some of these well known bait shops fold up because of this. I'm sure freds is not the only one who is affected. I will check tabers, I appreciate the tip!

Only place in Bemidji that had them last night. I checked G MTN and they had none. Tabers had spots and goldens this morning.
