Launch sites for opener

I usually use St. Croix Bluff's, but I don't think the gates open until 6am. Is that true on opening weekend as well? Curious what folks think is the best place to launch around Afton/Woodbury for opener....

I don't think it matters where you go its going to be busy. The bluffs does open at 6. Your other options would be beanies or prescott which are both pay sites as well. I am not sure if the windmill has a pay launch.

6am seems late to get on the water for opener. I think I'll do Beanies and get there really early.

I think if a guy were in line by 5 you should be ok. good luck

Depends on the weather and the year but I typically target getting to my landing of choice by 5 a.m.. It seems to be more of a problem finding places to park after launching then anything else. Be ready to drop and run when you get the boat in as there will be folks will be waiting to drop in behind you.
