Anyone seen any open water yet in the north Metro?- Clearly no lakes yet, but looking for some spring croppie action in a little stream, backwater, or drainage area. Anyone seen anything?

I got the itch, too. But I think it's gonna still be a while. All the drainage ponds down here in the Southern Metro are still frozen over for the most part. Checked a few small creek mouths going into lakes and much of the ice still remained there as well. The only open water I've seen is in flooded farm fields and they still get a skim of ice at night.

28 inches of ice still on South Lindstrom with a tape measure yesterday Shorelines not even getting dark yet. You might wanna check out the Stacy dam area or maybe the dam at Peltier.

The crow river around Hanover and Rogers is open as far as I have seen but it's getting pretty high already. I'm not sure where you be able to get down to fish it right now.
