Fishing 3-23 and 3-24

Me and 2 buddies were up fishng last Sat and Sund. We came up to fish Winnie but ended up fishing a lake North of it Sat for perch. There was about 12" of snow and about 12" of slush. Sleds were ok but nothing else would have made it. We fished 4-5 spots from 10:30 until 6 pm and had holes from 6-12' FOW. We caught tons of fish but only about a dozen bigger than 10 inches. It didn't seem to matter if it was minnows, heads, plastics or worms.

On Sunday we went to a different lake and fished 5-9 fow from 11 until dark. Travel was better since there was less slush and more snow. We caught crappie, sunnies, perch, and rock bass all day long. Lots of sorting but a few real nice ones. From 6 until dark it was fast of perch and crappie. We also caught one 22' walleye on a small demon jig and waxxie 2' under the ice at dark.

The snow was melting fast with the sun on saterday and I would think ATV travel will be ok soon.
