Anyone still driving on the lakes?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to try to do some fishing later today, and I am wondering if there is any crappie lakes that people are still able to drive out on.

Has the ice actually got thinner recently? With these cold temps I'd think the lakes would still be making ice.

Right, it's just hard to get around with all the snow. I imagine this week it will open up to driving again for a bit.

On a little lake in Crosslake area I measured 30" of solid ice on Sunday. With about a foot and half of snow/slush over it. Still lots of ice out there!

Plenty of ice if you have a road to drive on. Using a wheeler is alomost impossible. I know some areas are better then others of course. Nice weekend but couldn't really get out due to snow/slush.
