I run a copilot on mine and love it. No more foot pedal for me. I do have the auto pilot too though. That helps a lot because less steering is needed in the first place.

Go co pilot and don't look back. If you have a v2 model and can opt for I pilot go that route if money allows.

I love using the copilot and you have the pedal as a backup. Just attach to your belt loop and make fine adjustments. And you can sit anywhere in the boat.

I run the Terrova with I Pilot so I can use both, I cast 90% of the time so the pedal gets most the use but the remote is handy for minute speed adjustments and anchor lock when a fish is hooked, or I want a nap grin For walleye trolling I use the remote most though, if I had to choose for my style I would stay with the pedal...

walleye fishing I never use the foot pedal. The hand held control is the best by far . Casting for muskies the foot control is the way to go

You can still keep the foot pedal attached too? I thought it would be one or the other. There are times when I think it might be handy to be able to use my foot control so my hands remain free. My brother-in-law agrees with you guys. Said it was the best money spent in a long while.

Thanks for the input. smile

One more vote for co-pilot. Since we have had one (2001?...) the pedal has sat waiting for emergency use. Has not happened yet.

I will throw another vote in for co-pilot. I never could get the hang of the pedal anyway. cool

@ Bob T: Yes, with the copilot on a Powerdrive model you can still use the foot pedal. Not so with the ipilot though unless you have the Terrova.

co-pilot, yes you can keep pedal connected but can only run motor with either pedal or remote (one has to be off to use the other) a nice feture I use it the adubile click noise when the motor is turning, its great for others in the boat to know when we are moving
