Indian lake?

Anyone been out on little Indian lately? How the driving and the bite?

It has not been very good for me all year. I think there may have been a summer kill; back in September I saw quite a few fish floating. That was the day I saw the biggest crappie of my life, stone-cold-dead and pushing 20". I did not actually touch it to measure it, it was gross, but I held a tape up to it and it was between 18"-20". Last time I went, I was after crappie, I didn't even get a bite. The water has been very, very dark green this year, and the weeds have really grown. Also the water is way down, my pike spot that used to turn out beasts is now 2' of water and choked by milfoil. It used to be 6' and a big clearing in the weed bed. If you stay on the paths, you can still drive out with good tires and 4x4. I decided I'm done driving out for the year, as the rain a while back left about half the ice basically frozen slush. I'm not sure on indian, but on other lakes it has been about 12" of good ice, and 12" of junk ice, be safe out there.

Thanks for the reply. We have a cabin on the lake so I give it a try once a winter at least.
