Inland fishing near Grand Marais / Lutsen Area

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows of some easy access shore spots to toss out a line towards the end of May in the Lutsen/Grand Marais area. Looking for "inland" lakes...I'm not going to even try fishing Superior. I've seen Caribou Lake, Deer Lake as a couple options. I'm not into fly fishing so shallow streams/brooks won't work for me.

If there's a nice spot for some panfish action like crappies and sunnies that would be cool. I have an ultralight for that. I also dig catching bass. I have a medium action for that. I'm just looking for a little time-killing activity to break up the day. I guess I'm more interested on whatever produces better. I hate getting skunked!

Most of the lakes you are going to have to drive up over the hill and back from the big lake a few miles if you haven't been up there before. Here are a few that you can at least drive too.

Pike

Devils Track

Caribou

Four Mile

Nine Mile

Punch them up on the DNR lake site and then you can also look for others to try on the Req map.

So basically all those lakes you mentioned above have some sort of shoreline I can hit...and also be able to drive to and park?

Any of those that you would recommend?
